How It Began

Growing up in my household, there wasn't a single day that passed by without music being played on our living room speakers, whether it was my dad listening to The Beatles, ABBA, or Pink Floyd, or my mum listening to Mohamed Mounir or Fayrouz. Because both my parents have extremely different music tastes, I acquired both of them, in addition to mine, making my music taste exceedingly versatile.

What Music Means To Me

Whether I'm studying, cooking, sitting doing nothing, and literally just breathing, music is always playing in the background. My playlist is constantly on shuffle. I wake up to music, I shower while screaming my lungs out to my shower playlist, even though my voice absolutely sucks, I can't drive unless there's music playing on the radio, and I'm currently listening to Frank Ocean's "Lost" while I'm writing this blog post. I literally cannot function without music in my life.

Why I Listen To Music

Music has various meanings to every single person. Music plays a huge role in the time we live in right now, allowing artists to express whatever message they want to send to their audience. For me, music has been extremely beneficial when it comes to being self aware of what's happening in the world, and the numerous injustices these artists have seen and experienced. It's a form of art and self expression, and it has become one of the biggest platforms a person can share his/her story to an immensely giant audience. Artists such as Hozier, Tupac Shakur, John Lennon, Aretha Franklin, and so many more.

Best Part Of Music

For some people, they just listen to music for the beats and couldn't care less about the lyrics, but for me, it's the complete opposite. The lyrics of a song carry so much meaning and power when you take the time to contemplate the words you're listening to and trying to connect to them on a personal level. Most of the songs I hear are somehow relatable to my own life experience, and the feeling you get when you find a song that describes precisely how you think is inexplicable. Music is something that I am vividly passionate about, and I would love to take this chance to share some of my favorite songs ever.

I really like how you added titles to each paragraph, it made it an easier read. I also really like how you appreciate music from a deeper perspective and for the actual message behind the music. not may people view it that way.
