Proudest Achievements

  • Social Class and Inequality (SOC 3304)

My group and I conducted an ethnography about El Wekala and observing the relationship between the sellers and buyers over there. This was mainly inspired by the high trend of people from the middle/high class thrifting from El Wekala and posting tiktoks about it. We explored the booths there and took lots of footage of the different things sold there while conducting several interviews with the buyers there. Each one of us wrote field notes and gathered a lot of information to create a short movie describing our analysis.

  • Fundamentals of Computing II (CSCE 1101)

My group and I created our own version of Pacman. We coded the whole game using C++ with some integration of SQML. This was my first coding project where I used all the coding skills that I was taught at the time from this course and fundamentals of computing I.

  • Analysis & Design of Algorithms (CSCE 2202)

I created a project where I coded a plagiarism detection utility through 4 different algorithms using C++. It's a simple code where one enters several documents and runs them through any of the 4 algorithms in order to see if there should be a plagiarism case, or if the files are all clean.
